A few things worth knowing

What is my Hebrew birthday?

Your Hebrew birthday is the day and month of your birth in the Jewish calendar. This calculator converts your Gregorian date of birth into its Hebrew day, month and year, then finds an upcoming anniversary.

Why does the time of day matter?

The Hebrew day begins in the evening, while the civil day begins at midnight. Choose “Before sunset” for a daytime birth or “After nightfall” for a birth clearly after dark. This tool does not calculate local sunset times; near sunset, use the uncertain option.

What if I do not know my birth time?

Choose “Unsure / near sunset”. The calculator shows two possible Hebrew dates, one for the civil daytime date and one for the following Hebrew day. You can explore both without treating either as confirmed.

What happens if I was born in Adar?

Hebrew leap years contain Adar I and Adar II. Your original birth date keeps that distinction. Customs for anniversaries can differ between leap and ordinary years, so the birthday result explains the convention and shows an alternative when applicable. Both Adars share the symbolic month associations here by editorial convention.

Which birth dates can I convert?

The calculator accepts valid Gregorian birth dates from 1 January 1800 through today. Future dates and dates before 1800 are outside this tool’s supported range.

What happens to my birth details?

The free date conversion is calculated in your browser. If you choose to purchase a report, the entered birth profiles are submitted separately to the report backend when you continue to checkout. See Privacy for details.
